Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) is petrochemical-based plastics that include polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE). It’s a low-cost polymer with good processability and has high impact strength at low temperature. LDPE uses majorly revolve around manufacturing containers, dispensing bottles, wash bottles, tubing, plastic bags for computer components, and various molded laboratory equipment. Also well known for being widely used in plastic bags as its low density makes it light and flexible, rendering it perfect for this kind of application.
